Dr. Jason Mizell understands first-hand how puzzling and overwhelming finances can be to physicians. After all, in school their courses include very little, if any, business or financial material. When the handsome paychecks start rolling in, along with credit offers, and social expectations, it’s too easy for young doctors to find themselves buried in student loans and other debt. This affects their quality of life, their sense of personal success, their attitudes toward their work... Everyone loses.
To address this issue, Dr. Jason Mizell created a course for residents and medical students to prepare them to make wise financial decisions. Armed with knowledge and strategy, his students are empowered to erase their debt, invest in their future, and go to work not because they need the paycheck to pay bills...but because that’s where they want to be.
